The Application Process

Your CV/Resume should consist of key information such as your contact details, personal profile, core competencies, employment history/work experience, and education.

GAIN wants to hear about your most recent key achievements in your career to date, as well as your strengths and how this can be utilised for the role that you are applying for. Highlighting your accomplishments in previous roles and not just your job duties is always preferrable.

If you have been shortlisted for a role, a member of the recruitment team will review your application and you will be contacted to discuss your application in further detail. You will then be invited for an interview if you are deemed to be a strong match for the advertised vacancy.

GAIN usually advertises all job openings for a minimum period of 2-3 weeks. Depending on when you applied a vacancy, it may take between 4-6 weeks to receive an update on the outcome of your application.

Because of the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback for applicants who are not selected to the shortlisting stage. However, should you be interested in future opportunities with GAIN, please keep your profile updated in our Talent Pool so that we are able to contact you directly, should we have another vacant position that may match your profile.

GAIN is a global organisation that has offices in various locations/continents. Many of our job openings can be performed from one or more of our country offices. This is what we would deem an open location. GAIN will accept applicants from one of the countries specified in our job advertisements if applicants have the existing right to live and work within a reasonably commutable distance of the relevant city / cities in which the role is advertised.

GAIN conducts an extensive salary benchmarking exercise across our GAIN office locations on an annual basis as part of our reward framework package.

We offer a global HR handbook setting out the common conditions for all staff; and there are also handbooks for each location setting out local conditions where these differ.

All advertised salaries and job openings follow our job classification system and internal salary structure. This helps us to ensure we maintain consistent expectations of job levels in each location. We have a reward policy that seeks to achieve fairness, equity, and consistency; to be competitive for talent; to be ethical; and to be sustainable.

When we set salaries, we take account of local market conditions and changes in the cost of living.

Career Enquiries

We provide a flexible working environment that includes a combination of home and office working opportunities through our global hybrid working policy where employees can work remotely up to 3 days per week.

This encourages our staff to have a healthy work-life balance and increases staff motivation, enriches employee wellbeing, and improves performance and productivity.

We do not offer fully remote home working opportunities at present and applicants are expected to live and work, in their specific country of application which must be within a reasonable proximity of a GAIN office.

If you would like to discuss our flexible working arrangements or hybrid working policy further, please get in touch with a member of the recruitment team prior to applying for a role at GAIN.

Please note that currently, GAIN is unable to sponsor working visas or offer any relocation packages. Applicants will be responsible for organising any necessary visa or relocation arrangements as part of their recruitment journey prior to applying for one of our vacancies. If you have any further queries in relation to relocation and work visas, please contact the recruitment team prior to applying for a job at GAIN.

We offer a number of volunteering and internship opportunities for students throughout the year. All current positions within our programmes will be advertised on our careers website and are managed in accordance with our recruitment process.
