Daisy Otieno

Project Coordinator, Nutrition Impact at Scale, GAIN


Daisy Otieno, with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, is an accomplished project management professional with a robust background in food systems and conservation agriculture. She has a wealth of experience working in multisectoral and multicultural environments, collaborating with organizations such as World Vision and Lutheran World Relief to enhance agricultural production and improve the livelihoods of farmers in Western and Eastern Kenya. 
Daisy has also served as a trainer on Village Saving and Loaning Associations (VSLAs), empowering local communities with essential financial skills. Her research experience includes working on sustainable and clean cooking initiatives with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Stockholm Environmental Institute, Expedition Mondial, and UN Women. 
Currently, Daisy is a Project Coordinator under the Nutrition Impact at Scale project at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). In this role, she works closely with the Project Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operational delivery, implementation, and monitoring of the project. Daisy is instrumental in coordinating GAIN's cross-functional project teams and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders, ensuring that project activities are executed within approved plans, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
