Leah has over twenty years of experience in building and leading dynamic teams to build/create a harmonious organisational work environment required to deliver results. As the Kenya Country Director for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, Leah provides organizational leadership and management for effective delivery of food systems programs that address malnutrition in Kenya. She the chair of the Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network in Kenya, a platform that brings together government, the private sector and development actors with a focus on food and nutrition.
Leah joined GAIN from Energy 4 Impact where, as Africa Regional Director, she provided leadership to five Sub-Saharan African countries (Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda) in their role to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro businesses provide energy access to off-grid communities in alignment with the SDGs.
This included a review of the organisational strategy, fundraising, building donor networks and leading a change management and organisational development process to improve organisational effectiveness.
Previously Leah was African Regional Programme Director for Energy 4 Impact and prior to that Country Director for Veterinaries Sans Frontiers – Belgium in Kenya, while for many years, worked with World Vision International to bring change to the bottom of the pyramid populations around Africa.
