Milka Shitandi Omukuba

Shitandi has over a decade of senior international experience in developing and managing projects within organisations dedicated to positively benefitting the lives of diverse populations. In her previous role as Project Manager, she managed the marketing & distribution aspects of nutritious food products to low-income markets in the 2SCALE program from BopInc which is the largest inclusive agribusiness incubator present in 10 African countries. She was also previously the resident expert on BoP markets for distribution and sales, as well as an integral part of the Women in Business team at TechnoServe Mozambique. She designed and implemented strategic interventions around Women Economic Empowerment. She has held several commercial and sales roles in various start-ups in the social impact space in various countries–  work that includes leading and managing teams in urban and rural BoP markets in East Africa and helping set up an aluminium can manufacturing plant.
