Aimé Kwizera

Programme Lead, Nutrition Enterprise Development


Aimé Garlas Kwizera is an agricultural economist and agribusiness expert with over 10 years of experience in low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) development programs. He joined GAIN in 2017 and currently leads the Nutrition Enterprise Development Unit, a crucial part of GAIN's work supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which form the backbone of national food systems in LMICs. He oversees the SUN Business Network (SBN) among other projects at GAIN. Since joining GAIN, he has worked on three programs involving MSMEs and the private sector to deliver nutritional outcomes in GAIN countries.

Prior to GAIN, he worked in the agribusiness and advisory industries in Sub-Sahara Africa as a Programs Officer in charge of structured agriculture trade and as an Agribusiness Advisor in development programmes. He sits on the Executive Committee of the SUN Movement, representing the SBN and holds various certifications from leading institutions, including an MBA from the University of South Wales.
